I hold an account with this bank for 5 years now and I am satisfied with it though there is lot of room for improvement. Internet banking is good and very fast. I use it for paying my bills like telephone, mobile, gas, online shopping, receiving and sending money abroad, etc
Loan services have to improve. No time for professionals like me to run behind the bank. Sometimes I forget that I have applied for a loan. Too many wasteful procedures. Women have to give more proof of income than men. This is my personal experience.
Months back, I had requested the bank to transfer a paltry sum of Rs.12000 to an account in Indonesia as payment to a client, within a month.But since Indonesia is a risky (?) country, as the bank executive put it, it had to get approved by Senior manager and so on it was delayed by 3 months. Pressed for time I requested my friend in Abu Dhabi and paid the amount thru ADCB, within 10 mins (after registering accounts). This is 21st century banking but HDFC is acting like a stone age bank.SO SLOW.
