Unfortunately I have been a customer of this bank for quite sometime (no good reason, just happened). The experience and services were always to the least possible. Coming to the story, I have had a personal loan with this bank that is coming to an end shortly; just to make sure everything is going fine I called them and surprisingly I heard that there was a cheque bounce charge incurred sometime during the loan period (I absolutely don’t remember when it was but working with them to find out ) and due to that small charge now they can’t close my loan.
The only way I can close this loan is that I have to personally visit the bank and pay off those stupid charges. I asked them if I could transfer the amount using online service but no way they don’t accept anything other than the person coming in personally. What the f is this? I am not living in india at the moment; how the hell I am supposed to pay this off?
Another point to recognize is, since I am living out of India I cant pay off my debt even though I am capable of paying it at once. If you are wondering that is because you can pay off a loan only by visiting their HDFC palace.
Another good point to notice is that they don’t provide service request numbers, so they can simply ignore your request and throw away all the conversations you had with the executive. You will get absolutely no proof that you made a request with this bank.
Many more but can’t waste much of my time on a bank that isn’t worth. I hope this review helps in making you future decisions.
