I am NRI and applied for home loan in Gajuwaka branch. Initially, they gave me list of documents required for processing home loan. But after clearing processing fee cheque, they were not interested to issue the loan. They were keep on asking for more and more documents. I was able to submit almost 50 documents in addition to what they requested initially and finally I got tired and left the process. HDFC is more interested to get your processing fee cheque than actually helping you get home loan.
I have tried all their escalation chanels and reported the issue but of no use.
I hope this will be useful for people to choose the best service before go blindly with HDFC for their home loans.
