If you are going to open an account with HDFC , be prepare to face some of the worst banking experiences .....
Suppose You are out of your city... you have some serious problems ....you need money.. you called up relative/friend and ask them to put some money in your HDFC (the world class-millenium-cutting edge and so on) account, so you can take that from your nearest HDFC ATM....
Your relative will go to HDFC branch. But the no-so-polite executives(Comparing to ICICI or even SBI) will tell them that they cant deposit the money...let the customer suffer....
You have some problems with a cheque, you deposited in another city... after some times, you went to your branch and enquire about the same... the ’’personal banker’’ will tell you that, they didn’t received the reply to the mail they send to the other branch. The mails are the only way of communication they know!!!!!
This is the one of the modern and high-fly banks in our country!!!!!???
You marry after opening account with HDFC.You moved in to a new rental flat .Try to add your wife as a joint account holder.....
