*The HDFC Bank branch at bengali market near babar road is worst bank I have seen so far.

I opened my account an year ago there when it is called "Centurion Bank of Punjab". The agent came to my house collected all the requried documents from us and claimed that my account will get open within 5 working days. After Days and Weeks, 2 months passed and we received no information from bank. When we checked with the bank they said kit is dispatched to your address. After finding more they told that they have been wrongly sent to some other address.
They handed over a letter from bank but neither the check book nor any documents. We were promised that we will get those within 1 weeks time. After 1 week when we didnot received anything, they told us to comeback after 15 days. Now in this process already 3 months have passed. Finally we received check book but not the debit card we have applied for. After repeat calls and several visits to the Bengali Market branch, they didn’t send us our debit card.
After one year when I have totally lost our paitence, I out to close my bank account. To my surprise they have deducted Rs.600 in pretext for debit card charges. In contrary I havn’t received any debit card. The bank manager said that since he is new to the bank give him 5 more days for your debit card. This makes 365+5 = 370 days and no debit card till date.
Finally I have closed our account there. The service of this bank is also very poor. Very unprofessional staff. All people are high-headed. Don’t treat customers professionally. I will advice to not to use HDFC Bank’s, Bengali Market, Babar Road, New Delhi, Branch Services.
