I applied for a HDFC Credit Card since one of their representatives convinced me about the good promo offer they had for Corporate Salary account holders with HDFC Bank.
The formalities were over in about 2 weeks and I received the credit card at my residence, only to find a big surprise. I found that the Credit Limit alloted to me was even lesser then my monthly income.Though it was not a big matter , but just out of curiosity I wanted to know why this credit limit was so low as compared to my Standard Chartered Card which has a higher credit limit and that limit was alloted to me when my income was 3 times less then my present income. I called up the Customer Care , only to find an answer that I have to wait for 9 months for the credit limit to get increased. Then I sent a mail to the concerned person and never received any reply for 2-3 days.Then I called up the customer care again to remind them to reply to my mail.I was told that the reply was already sent to me 2 days ago, which I dont believe because I check my mails atleast 3-4 times everyday and never received it. In about 2 hours from then I got the reply to my mail, asking me to send across some more documents.
Having lost faith in their services I replied asking them to let me know the procedure to end their services.This is the second day I am still waiting for the reply.I think I will have to call the customer care again and remind them to reply. Having understood that HDFC is new into this competitive market of Credit Cards, I really wonder how are they going to go ahead with this kind of Customer Support. I am a highly satisfied customer of HDFC Bank(Only Banking services) and I would like tell them --Guys get up and Act quickly-the market is too competitive and you cant take 2-3 days just to reply one simple mail
