I have been using HDFC credit card for the past 4 yrs. Since I had previous experience using SBI as well as HSBC card I would say this was really good. Couple of things I liked about the HDFC card is their customer service. Whenever we call the enquiries are polite and promptly addressed. Written communication on any changes suggested via telephone.
Another key advantage is the way they track ur high spend that too within 10-15 mins of the transaction. You will get a call from the customer support to verify whether you have actually made that purchase. Also you will get a SMS on your mobile for every transaction made using the card. This actually helps us against the misuse of the card.
I got this card as part of a free scheme and till now I have not received any usage charges. Also the reward scheme is beneficial as you can claim rewards for the points accumulated.
Some of the minus points of this card is that they have changed the credit limit( though always on the upper side) and also the payment date without any prior communication. Since the statements are on time this has so far not created any major issues.
Whatever may be the advantages of the credit card I would like to close this review with some tips to all credit card users
