I am having salary account with HDFC bank, Ahura Branch, Mumbai since 2 years. Now one call came a day from HDFC for offering Platinum Credit Card free. I accepted and as I was having salary account, they asked me only for a photo identity proof. I submitted the proof. Everything got approved, (I will let you know that this was the 3rd time, I applied for HDFC credit card) and I received an SMS from HDFC, that your card is shipped to you via BlueDart with the xyz reference no.
Now, I received the pin no thru’ postal mail, but I was going to receive the card thru’ Bluedart. I checked on Bluedart website and it was showing me incorrect consignee address. That was proper.
I called HDFC credit card help line to know the status. They told me to submit the corrected address written on a piece of paper with my signature and fax it to the given no. I did so.
I had to call the helpline several times and each time they asked me for confirming my identity. Thats understood. What I was upset with it is I had to make them follow that check the fax machine, my fax should come there.
Then they said, we will get you the credit card in 7 days. I kept on checking the bluedart’s website meanwhile during these days. what I saw is, the credit card was submitted back from mumbai to chennai. Can you people imaging the card being sent back just due to address change?
Already 10 days passed, I did not hear from HDFC anything about the card. I again called them back. They were talking in a way, such that they did not process and follow the card.
They again told me that we will get you the card in 7 days. This is the 3rd day and I haven’t heard from them.
see the fate here. I received the password for accessing the card, but not the card and the card goes back from mumbai to chennai just due to change of address.
Plus, the bank is not following the process. It seems so. Everytime, I had to call them up to inquire about where is the card.

Hey everyone, I posted this review yesterday itself and I got the credit card today. Atlast, I finally get the relief and possible enjoy the advantages of a credit card.
I think waiting for card has proved worth now.
