I have used this card for about 18 months and had a horrible experience. I am maintaining about 8 credit cards and always pay my credit dues in full that to within due dates. For the month of March 06 they did not send me the bill and charged late payment and interest when I received that inflated bill in the month of May06 I made the entire payment but refused pay the interest since they have not send the bill within due date. As per RBI directives they should send the bill atleast 14 days before due date.
Inspite of my genuine plea and request they did not reversed the charges and kept on sending bill and threatening calls for collection of interest amount which was by this time was more than double the original bill value which was around 2000 INR. Later they reversed all the dues and reported the same to credit rating agencies as a result I am barred from issuing Credit Cards and personal Loans from private bank. I came to this latter on when my application for a personal loan was declined by Standard Chartered Bank inspite of the fact I am having a good transaction with them. So please be aware of HDFC people are not only cheat but harmful as well.
