I have been banking with HDFC ever since they opened a branch in my town and I am very happy with the services.There are hiccups sometimes but these are resolved very quickly. I must tell you their netbanking is far far superior to that of any other bank.
I also have a HDFC BANK credit card and am extremly happy with it. I have read some of the other reviews and I think most people are mixing up joining fees and annual fees. What is free is joining fees ( for HDFC bank customers) while there is a discount on the annual fees.
So far my experience with the card has been good. HDFC gave me a healthy credit limit. My card has not been declined. I recieve my statement within a week of my billing cycle and all my queries have been answered to my satisfaction.As to charges, I know the bank has to make profits if it is going to offer quality services.
The negatives are:
-Annual charges are higher.
-Difficult to get through to the helpline.
-Not much avaliable online.
