Oh.. My agony with the credit card division customer care section has gone for 10 days now, and I dont even have a card to hold! It started from the day I recieved a call from the customer care saying that I have beeen lucky enough to be given a Platinum card.
When I asked them the maintainance fee as such, they told me that there is no hidden charge or anything associated with it. So I dint think I would be asked to face a mental orture by saying a Yes. As it happens, my address of communicatiuon , my permanent address , everything is my parents address. I live 2 houses next to my parents place with my husband.
But I wanted every communication to come to my parents place to ensure nothing is lost. So the customer care told us that they would send a person for getting sign in the relevant docs... and after telling they would come within an hour, this guy comes after 2 days. Then my house starts getting callls asking if I really stay there. But so it happens my house and my fathers/husbands business are intertwined in the same building. So an office staff picks up the call and gets drilled bt the ***HDFC ppl on y being married I still stay there or y I dont stay there.
Then I get 3 calls asking on being married should I not stay with my husband? God! is this they way a bank questions its cliet... This happened THRICE man***... and the end of the day I lost my cool and cancelled the card. After reading the reviews here , I feeel I have done the right thing.. It was mental agony when some guy in the customer care questions me on not being with my husband when all the proofs ids etc were submitted on my address of communication. If this had happened to any1 else, they would have sued them on interfering too much in a persons personal life.! Now I m relieved that I m out of it, I would not have had more patience to deal with them even after getting the card!
