I was pursuaded by the HDFC marketing team to apply for a credit card as they said our is a corporate connection, so the first year charges will be nil, second year charges will be half, and third year charges will be full. After lot of persuation and promises, we all filled the form and eventually received the card. Three months, later I received a bill with yearly charges which was fifty percent of the annual fees. In spite of repeated request, just the false promises they gave us, they did not send the correct bill. Subsequent to that, I swiped the card and made the payment after assurance from the credit card division collection center manager that the correct statement and final bill will be sent to me immediately. But that did not happen, as false speaking people can never speak true and my efforts to contact them became more frequent and in vain, their replies of false promises were same.
Finally, when the date of renewal for next year was approaching, I was told by one of their employes that the best way to get this problem solved is by canceling the card and let the credit card division contacting you. Upon clarification and assurance that my savings account, which I have in HDFC, will not be affected, I cut the card into two and along with a cancellation letter, put in the credit card collection box.
To my surprise, my account has been frozen and I have been deprived of access to my account. Repeated pleas are going into deaf ears and just the same false promises that we will do the needful soon is the permanent answer, from their list of false answers to be given to customers.
This is a clear story of how false promises, crooked minded people have succedded in luring the people and making then pay for the money they are not due to pay.
I REQUEST ALL OF YOU PLEASE SURRENDER THE CARD AND DO NOT RECOMMEND AND IN TURN TELL EVERYONE WHO IS HAVING HDFC CARD THE TRUTH.
