When applying for a Salary account, the HDFC rep begged to take a credit card. I was told by the bank rep that the credit limit would be 3 times of my salary but I got the credit limit of only RS 30k. I filed 3 disputes in july, 2012, yet after months have not got a reply on them.
I have not received a single receipt yet. They call my parents for the payment, my col;egues as well as my boss.
And today they had sent me a legal notice. As per the Honorable Supre Court of India, No financial institution can charge an interest of more than 24 % per annum, per 2012 order yet they charge you 39%per annum.
And their fraud practice do not end here. They first reduced my credit limit from Rs 30 k to 25 K then started adding overlimit charges and other fines. Instead of increasing my credit limit they reduced my credit limit after 6 months of usage. Also, they first harass you to make payment for the outstanding dues day and night and when I pay the minimum amount due, they again charge rs 100 for making payment.
And As per the Honorable Supre Court of India, No financial institution can send a collection agent without the customer’s consent for payment collection at customer’s home or place of work. They openly violate the 2006 supreme court order and send a 3rd party collection agent who takes your collegues, parents, relatives and friends and even neighbors data- address and contact number. and give abuses slangs to them and threten then to pay up for the due on your credit card.
