Please do not ever take health insurance from Hdfc Ergo-This is the worst ever health policy service provider!
Totally inefficient, rude, customer care- sorry I meant CUSTOMER SCARE!
They sweet talk innocent and gullible people into taking this policy. When one calls for a claim , they will make you wait endlessly on their calls with their miserable signature call wait tune, and then you will get to speak to an officer who has no clue about anything. We were made to wait for 5 hrs in the hospital waiting for HDFC ERGO to give confirmation for cashless hospitalization. Then they approve only 20 % of the bill and tell us to send hospitalization documents for the balance amount.
They say once you send documents backing the claim , the amount will be reimbursed in 15 days. But the customer is made to wait forever and then on calling them and listening to their sick music , is told that it will take 7 working days, wait -call again- and the circus goes on and on and on!
Guess what their managers are more inefficient than the phone operators!
I am from Chennai and had the misfortune of speaking to the manager of the Mylapore branch
Ms. Chakraborty and informed her that it was over 45 days since I applied and sent documents for claim and all she said was we are looking into it , please wait for 7 days , when I demanded an explanation for the delay she just says DO WHAT YOU CAN and just hangs up on me!
Please, friends Hdfc ergo does not offer insurance ... Only give people heart aches and head aches! Not to forget huge telephone bills!
