I tried renewing my two wheeler insurance today … the saga started at 9;45 that went up to 16:55 without any result …. Finally purchased the insurance from another bank…. that took just 6 mins !!!
The start was with the online renewal not working …. It Asked me to contact customer care …. Customer care asked me to visit the branch …. They Told me to search for the branch on the web…. Bank site had only brokers’ contact and no branch details … finally somehow searched out the branch contact … it was a literal treasure hunt….. that’s because there are just 2 branches in Bangalore !!! … contacted the branch and got a quotation…. I requested a multi year option …. I was asked to wait for end of day …. wondering when that is !! As no feedback until 16:55 …. Then lost patience and purchased from another bank ….
….. all along … I was not given the reason for online renewal rejection !!!!
… seems like HDFC is tired of making profits and wants to avoid doing further business … gone into a financial holiday !!! Pathetic service by HDFC Ergo !!!!
