I am writing to alert you about the low levels of customer service being provided by HDFC Life Insurance. I have had good experience with HDFC Mutual Fund and to some extent the bank.
With confidence that the life insurance firm might be able to deliver on their promises, I went ahead and applied for a life insurance policy in mid june for a significant cover(click to protect plus) and paid the full premium. I completed my medicals in the first week of July and have provided documents that were asked.
I have been following up several times with the sales executive and the call center about policy issuance and they have been giving vague replies or time frames which have never been met. Out of curiosity and more so frustration,
I googled the firm and gathered that several people here are facing similar issues an operational/ service front. I am personally a senior executive with an MNC and know the value of customer satisfaction and word of mouth.
I am hoping the CEO/ senior executives of this firm still hold such matters at high importance and will take action. I am happy to get a full refund and forget all the trauma I am going through. Its been close to 7 weeks and am yet to get a date for policy issuance. I am more worried about the time when your loved ones god forbid may need to actually make a claim for which we pay premiums year after year.
