My Savings Assurance Policy 12892596 matured on 6th May. Its a large sum of money. All documents were personally submitted at branch by me and accepted by HDFC life.
The help-desk sent in writing that I will be paid within 4 days of maturity. Now after I followed up, I was told by help desk that they received documents on 9th May. When I pointedly asked them to let me know which document was received late there was no answer from them.
I have spoken to branch in Gurgaon and even they can not give me any outlook on payment.
The unfortunate part if that I was told by HDFC life that since IRDA allows them 15 days, I can not take any action .
Unfortunately archaic guidelines in our country My tens of lacs is stuck but I can not do anything. Can anyone help by giving me a forum or ways to ensure these companies do not repeat this with others
