Understand the following chain of events, before applying for HDFC Standard Life products:
1) My father had applied for HDFC Life Health Assure plan 3 months ago.
2) He had received a letter saying his policy would be approved after paying extra premium(almost double).
3) He denied and submitted a letter to cancel the application & refund the premium amount.
4) HDFC Standard Life has not processed the refund even after one month of the request.
5) Customer care does not have any details.
6) Their representative who has authority to process the refund, had recommended my father to purchase another product instead of taking refund. My father refused.
7) It looks like HDFCSL is purposely not refunding the amount. This is another marketing torture.
