I bought "HDFC click 2 pay" term insurance policy on advice of my financial adviser, the only reason to choose this policy was good claim settlement ratio after LIC.
I had the worst experience with HDFC Life. The agent which is also an employee of HDFC Life, had filled my details and the questionnaire on my behalf and created a payment link and send to me to pay the premium, even though I had given her all my details written in email but she managed to fill some of the details wrong, this I came to know when I made the payment and I received the proposal form. To correct all these details I had done so many follow ups with customer care, but it can not be done. To make the things more worse, the manager of the HDFC life itself says "Sir these are small things that we can overlook.(How can I make a wrong commitment, when I am planning to buy a policy for next 30 years and hoping to secure my family.)
This is not the end, I didnt receive my policy documents after 25 days of payment, reason was given by Blue Dart that your premise was closed and the phone number was not mentioned on the policy document.( Lie, firstly, my premise is never closed as my parents were always present second I never got Sorry to miss card from Blue Dart at my premise.)
I called the Blue Dart customer service once I received a message from Hdfc about dispatch of policy and confirmed all, still they were unable to deliver, seems there is some trick to consume the free look period so that customer can not surrender the policy in free look period.
Finally today, when I personally visited the Hdfc Life office to surrender the policy, but they refused to take my request as I have not received the policy documents.( what is my fault, if no one came to deliver the policy and they re-dispatch the policy.)
It was said that policy was dispatched four working days back, but I didnt receive till now.
No proper replies from service at Hdfclife.com, no proper way to escalate the concern, the employee through which I bought the policy had left HDFC Life, my financial adviser said sir we can revisit it next year and if everything is not fine and well close it next year.
Simply, this is a network to trap a customer in term insurance and take money, and God knows what their people do when you were not around your family, whether they will actually pay the insured amount, is really a big question an I now am scared to think about this situation.
