HDFC Mutual Fund

On 11th March 2008 I invested in 2 different mutual funds:

1. HDFC mutual fund - INR 30000

   
   




2. Reliance Mutual fund - INR 40000

   
   

I redeemed both these investments on 20th Dec 2012 & guess what the returns were.

While reliance gave me a return of 53000 ie 7-8% returns per year HDFC gave me a return of 32000 only!!!!. That is ONLY Rs2000 profit in the same period or a return of less than 1.50% per year!!!.

Please note that the entry and exit dates are exactly the same.

THIS SHOWS THAT THE PERFORMANCE OF HDFC FUND MANAGERS IS HORRIBLE COMPARED TO THEIR COMPETITORS..

I have had one more bad experience with HDFC unit linked young star life insurance too.

I will never invest with HDFC in the future.
