I have been using HDFC’s trading site for a year now. I opted for it against ICICIdirect as ICICI used to be very slow when a lot of trading activity happens. Now they seem to have set it right. HDFC on the other hand is absolutely user unfriendly. You cant maintain or track a portfolio, cant set alerts and you can trade only on the NSE. It does not allow you to see trades earlier than 7 days. Once my mail box was spammed with 40 mails confirming a single trade. It has good research though on industries. They charge a slightly lower brokerage as against ICICI. There are options on the trading menu which are of no use plus they have a limit on how much you can quote for a particular script. It is only +/-10% when market is closed and +/-20% when it is open, which is ridiculous since some stocks easily gain more than that on a good day of tradingI have written n number of times with suggestions on improving the site. While they responded saying the site will be improved soon, nothing has happened so far. On the whole 3/10. I wouldnt recommend it. ICICI has more features.
