I have opened the HDFC trading and Demat account sometime ago as I was approached by one the representatives. He assured all stars and the moon as usual. I traded for almost 4 months keeping track of every penny, one fine day I reconciled all the transactions, found there are many charges which were hidden. I made profit of around 18% overall on equity cash.
My audit showed only 1.7% profit, rest everything went to HDFC charges. I contacted the customer care, the lady was so careless when asking some clarifications about charges. She mentioned all these charges are valid and deducted already. I got really pissed and told her I will close this account, she replied, "Can I take a request for account cancellation?". She was not in a mood to convey, why the charges were, any work around. Very careless and trained for day robbery.
I called 080-39019400. Net I lost 68K rupees, that I made as profit. :-(
