No ethics and zero integrity

HDFC LIFE - Sheer waste of time and effort in case any of you are planning to go along with this company. WHY here’s the reason(No Ethics & ZERO Integrity ABSOLUTELY).


After receiving annual premium payment twice erroneously, the company never bothers to return the excess amount with them (amount is reflected and stays in account for TWO years)


When approached customer care repeatedly same answer, "We are working on it."


Then finally AFTER TWO years; branch (Janakpuri, delhi) advises that if you want your excess money back (with HDFC SLC for last two years); then you have to actually cancel your ECS mandate otherwise system would keep deducting and we cannot pay you.Thereafter cancellation of ECS by us is followed by requirement of extra additional premium...why since you have cancelled ECS sir ??


But this is what you advised.no sir it was your requirement...wow. Now in the month of May 13; (for policy due in Dec 12, paid up and receipt available here attached) HDFC SLC comes up (on cell phone only) and says policy has lapsed due to non payment of premium and by paying extra amount and interest they would be obliging to revive the policy...


And these guys are saying that policy is now lapsed...to basically extract extra pound of flesh....THEY are not even bothered about the SLIP (Receipt) given by their OWN branch which ACKNOWLEDGES payment of renewal premium.....


The same policy for which the company has provided acknowledgement via a receipt signed by branch representative in Janak puri, delhi. GUYS......there is no redressal forum....email / customer support is pathetic......EVERYTHING is supported by documentary facts....but to no avail....


DO NOT Fall for this company which does not cater for their customer problems (created by company themselves), sheer waste of your time and energy to get something valid going here......SORRY state of affairs here. BEWARE.


I am pretty SURE...in the moment of NEED or CRISIS when your FAMILY or near ones needs the help of policy they would surely have some.....TECHNICAL SNAG / DEFECT....PROBLEM...so basically you pay them for not paying them..........NOT Worth trouble.
