If any of you recall the telephonic interview with Sanjay Dutt’s daughter on Headline Today, it bordered on the ridiculous. The anchor literally badgered the poor lady with the most inane and stupid questions and capped if off with asking her to repeat " I love you daddy and I miss you " in Hindi and English for the "benefit of the viewers". Takes the prize for the most moronic interview on a news channel.
The entire Sanjay Dutt fiasco was covered by all channels, but Headlines today took the cake. I do admit they have good anchors, its just the quality of programming that needs ti improve. Would prefer NDTV or CNN-IBN any day, not to say they’re any better, just less crazy.
Hats off to their various sting operations, but HT needs to improve program and anchor quality if they are to compete with the likes of Rajdeep Sardesai or Prannoy Roy. Zakka Jacob seems to be the best they’ve got so far. Need more of his breed to get up to the mark.
