I went in for consultation and in the first fifteen minutes, I understood that Ive led myself to some strange alien hospital.
CONS:
REGISTRATION MIS-PROCESS: - 0.5 out of 5
Just for a mere registration with the hospital, they had like 4 counters. In the 3rd you should give the details of the doctor. She will tell that you have to go to counter 3. You go there and that person will just give you a form to fill. He will send you to counter 2 for billing. Most of the times, we had to ask what to do and only then they will tell " Oh go to this counter plz."
Then your hospital card will be made in counter 3 or 1. The card itself is not a printed one that you get at Manipal hospital etc. Its handwritten and I think anyone can make such cards. Also, every entry - for appointment, for blood test etc, everything is hand written. I felt Im in some Government hospital. Im glad atleast they do give printed bills after all so you can expect reimbursement.
It can be streamlined to one counter for the sake of clarity. People come to hospital with anxiety, and these people stress us even more.
PRICING: 1 out of 5
For registration, they took Rs.400+ Rs.300 as doctors fees. For 2 small urine tests - Rs.1000. There still are some other tests to be done and I wonder how much will it all amount to. Beware, you will empty your pocket if you go here. It was a first experience and I hadnt seen the review, so I went and I had to spend the amount they quoted.
CUSTOMER CARE: 1.3 out of 5
First of all, there is no toll free number. Thats ok. I called on a Sunday at 11am to make an appointment for Monday. In Google results it shows that its open 24X7. By 7 it means Sunday included. So, I called at 080 4020 6000 and there was this IVR. Press 1 for English and so on. I pressed 1 and then 9 to talk to a customer service. However, all I heard was the Pathetic HCG official song and then again it asked me to press 1 for English. When it looped twice, I disconnected and wondered how I was to make an appointment in this hospital. Then, I tried again, and someone picked up who told that there is no one present today to make an appointment. Kindly call on Monday.
STAFF: 1.5 out of 5
The people at the reception at tower 3 were confused. Ive seen 1 or 2 women there who are more interested in gossip over phone or among themselves rather than attending the customers. In tower 1, I entered for having some urine test. The lady at the reception told us to wait and she herself left for the day. I was confused, but then I realized that the billing for the test is to happen at the left corner and got it done. Only if she had told me at that time instead of making me wait.
The one staff involved in taking one of the tests, was from a mere cleaning staff and although she always smiled and was helpful, she lacked the knowledge of operating the equipments or if the test was proper or not. Only doctors could tell if it was correct when she took the report to them.
INFRASTRUCTURE: 2.2 out of 5
If by infrastructure, you mean grand buildings, yes this has many towers. The tower 4 looks more like a hotel from outside. But on the whole, the toilets are pathetic. Some place in tower 2 I think, there was a small toilet, where even the door wouldnt close.
CANTEEN: 2.2 out of 5
The canteen in Tower 4 is expensive. Rs.10 for coffee, Rs.30 for Dhoklas[only 2 pieces] and they were like yellow pieces of bread. No taste at all. The water melon juice was Rs.35 which gave me creeps. High priced and average or below food. Its like they want you to eat there and get admitted in the hospital.
The only other option is "Au Bon Pain" which is good and the 2 points is for this alone but again its a really expensive deal. So altogether have enough food before you reach there.

PROS:
DOCTORS:4.5 out of 5
This was perhaps the only reason I went to such a distant, futile hospital. The doctor I consulted didnt disappoint at all.He was knowledgeable and was the most tranquil person. Hats off!
