Fraudulent irresponsible behaviour

This is a feedback on Healthkart which uses the payment merchant Aquamarine Health.


On July 29th 2013, I paid Rs. 597/- towards some product. The credit card transaction got cut off due to some error midway and the payment confirmation page did not appear. The amount 597 was however deducted from my credit card account towards "Aquamarine health".


I contacted the Healthkart customer service multiple times to sort out the issue and they kept reassuring me that the amount would get reversed to my credit card account at the end of the billing cycle.


When the amount did not get reversed, I contacted them again and since then there has been no response. My bank has confirmed the payment has been made to Healthkart and have raised a dispute. I had to visit the bank and give them a letter and so on. So I may get my money back after about 3 months. But these kinds of issues should be dealt with automatically.

With the number of online shopping venues now available, these kind of fly-by-night operators are best avoided to prevent fraud and inconvenience.
