This is for your Healthy Weight Loss !

Eating and losing or gaining weight are both inter-related. You may eat food not knowing their caloric value. Some food make you feel lazy and lethargic . You also tend to put on more weight, leading to obesity. Some foods give energy and are also less in calories.

We tend to eat lots of preparations made out of potatoes. They do give energy but at the same time make you feel lazy and lethargic! Too much eating of potatoes should be avoided .

You have to choose foods rich in complex carbohydrates and dietary fibre, such as whole grain breads, cereals, vegetables fruits and legumes. Some of these foods like oat bran, citrus fruits and dried beans are good sources of soluble dietary fibre. If you take these kinds of food in plenty, your blood cholesterol level will be also be lowered apart from losing unhealthy extra weight!

You also have to control your food intake to maintain a healthy body weight. If weight loss is needed, a gradual loss of 1/2 -1 kg(1-2 pounds) per week is generally recommended by dieticians. When body weight is reduced to a healthy level, even by just a few pounds, blood pressure also tends to go down. Improving your diet by cutting down on fats will solve this problem. As much as possible, avoid eating fried food like french fries or any other junk food. A trip to McDonalds or KFC is okay once in a while, but should not be a practice!

Increase your dietary fibre intake in your menu when you plan your meals. Eat healthy food with lots of fruits and vegetables and dietary fibre and stay healthy!
