Preparing your mind for loosing weight

Weighloss is not a treatment undertaken to get free from fat or extra weight.it has to be a new lifestyle altogether!


I was obese by 35kilos. I was told by everybody, known or unknown to me, that I urgently needed to loose weight. The reasons they gave me were, ’You will look so pretty if you loose’.’You can wear any damn type of fashoinable clothings’.’You will find a very handsome and smart husband if you became slim and sexy’.’No one will taunt or tease or mock over you as they do now’.


These reasons made me feel uncomfortable. I was always asking myself as to why do I loose weight for these reasons? Can’t I really get all these things being just the way I am?


Something else also happened to me. I always saw my friends socializing and having fun outdoors.however whenever(very few times) I went out, I felt as if thousands of eyes were stalking me.and all the people around were making fun of my fatness.so I could not enjoy. I used to cry a lot when alone asking lord .’Why have you made me so fat.please make me slim at a go.or else make me die’. I slowly went into the state of anxiety. Otherwise I was a very bubbly and full of life girl. But as a teenager not being able to the fun thing as my friends did made me feel disgusting.


I tried to exercise and got some results too but then in a month or two my motivation faded out. I also tried pills.but they didnt give the kind of results I was expecting( they never really do).


ONE DAY I asked myself.WHY SHOULD I LOOSE WEIGHT? WHAT HAS TO BE THE REASON?


No! not for others. No! not to have a sexy figure or to wear snazy and revealing outfits . And definately not to have a smart and handsome husband.


I need to loose weight for MYSELF.ONLY MYSELF


So that I can be healthy and fit for lifetime. So that I build good stamina .So that I can be confident wherever and whenever I go in public. So that I will be free from all the weight related diseases. And above all.SO THAT I CAN DELIVER AND LOOKAFTER A HEALTHY BABY IN FUTURE.


I was enthusiastic, motivated and very positive about starting an exercise routine. I started.but I WAS NOT HASTY FOR RESULTS.I expected to loose weight at a good speed, however I never thought that I would give up when I achieve my target weight. Yes! I had kept a target for myself. I maintained a diary where in I kept records of what I ate and how much I worked out. I learned that I have actually started getting positive results when people started commenting that I look thiner. That was after 3 months I started my routine. My diet was perfect.I ate normal food.neither too less nor too much. Just what and how I was supposed to eat.


Exercise got into my routine. And I noticed that after every workout, I felt pretty fresh and confident. My mood swings were gone. I was a happy and satisfied person. I DID NOT FEEL GUILTY AFTER EATING. I DID NOT EAT TO EASE MY STRESS.


It was after a year that I realise I was no more fat. My routine had become my LIFESTYLE.I WAS IN LOVE WITH MY WORKOUT ROUTINE AND FOOD.


Today its been 3yrs since the day I started to transform my life. And believe me. I have changed my life for once and all.and that its a positive change.I am a new person. .A HAPPY PERSON.


So who so ever wants to loose weight.my advice would be to do it for yourself and not for others or silly reasons that others give you.and.DONT THINK THAT LOOSING WEIGHT IS JUST A PHASE WHICH WILL PASS OUT.NO.IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER.AND IF YOU WANT TO BE HEALTHY FOR ALL YOUR LIFE.ITS BETTER YOU MAKE CHANGES IN YOUR LIFESTYLE .WHICH ARE INDEED PERMANENT.!
