I absolutely loved it. Like all VCAndrews books it has a dramatic egde that keeps you reading.
What put me onto this book was the fact that I’ve had rather amazing encounters with VCAndrews work before and I love her style and how she writes and persues her ideas. This is the first book apart of an amazing series called the Casteel series, and VCAndrews has other series like, the Landry series, the Cutler series, and best of all, the Dollangager series.
The book is about a young girl named Heaven Leigh Casteel. She lives in deep poverty and has dreams of oneday showing all those who look down on her what a Casteel can be. But she soon finds that her life isn’t as, say, normal... straightforward and simple as she thought. Her family, the only family she’s known, is soon separated. Her determination wants to put her family back together. She is left feeling, vulnerable, needing, insecure, but strong willed, determined and achieving her goal.
