News and Reviews exclusive – It is been a while, I have put a film review but happy to be back. Yesterday, with very limited expectation I saw this movie – Hello. Interestingly, it is good, especially if I compare it with ‘DRONA’ and ‘KIDNAP’. Drona and Kidnap were so bad that I decided not to waste time writing reviews on them. Quickly though, I must add that Anupam Kher and Nasiruddin Shah starrer ‘Wednesday’ was good. Click to read on …
OK.. back to our main story. Hello is about 6 people of diverse taste, age, gender and dreams working in an American Call Centre in India (Perhaps Delhi). Directed by Atul Agnihorti, Hello is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel “One Night @ The Call Centre”. Dalip Tahil has a small role as Mr Bakshi (the boss) but very effective one. His love for America and every thing American is indeed funny. Sohail Khan (Varun aka Varoom) brings humor in the movie and adds the needed variety. The main cast Shyam (Mr Sharman Joshi) and Priyanka (Ms Gul Patang) have also done well. The end part of the movie, post communication with GOD with our lead actors at the near death experience is a bit stretch for sure. Salman and Katrina’s conversation is also out of place. It is also important to add that Director Atul Agnihotri has taken liberties in the movie if we decide to dissect every scene but I guess he has done a god job. Overall.
I am surprised that people and media are not taking about HELLO as it is a fairly entertaining movie with put of Massala too. It has songs (fast numbers), it has emotion, and it has Humor, thus, every thing needed for a successful Bollywood movie. May be intense Drama and Climax is missing. Any way, I was happy to find time to watch this movie and happy to report about it.
If you are looking for a good time-pass and kind of sick with latest Bollywood big banner releases, then you are recommended to watch this movie. Hello will not disappoint you. I am happy to rate it 3 on 5 Stars.
Cheers!!!
