I wanted to take a stock market training. Upon looking on various websites and reviews it seemed like Henry Harwin is a value for money option. The price seemed a tad lower than market but little did I know that I was in for a rotten and bitter experience.
Firstly the saleswoman who I first contacted was extremely polite, well-spoken, understand, she clarified my doubts, connected me to instructors to get my doubts cleared. It further got me confident that I am talking to a genuine company.
I went ahead and paid the fee and got enrolled for the batch I wanted.
This is when everything started to go haywire.
When I logged in 1 day before, I realized I was moved to a batch which I did not choose about couple of weeks later when I was travelling. When I called the same saleswoman, she said she will change the batch back to what I enrolled and she actually did change the batch.
However next evening when I woke to join, I was again shifted on the later batch. This time when I called the saleswoman, she did not pick up.
I then called the CUSTOMER CARE. In my entire life, I had not seen such a poor customer care. Firstly, the call does not connect and there is a huge waiting period. When it connects, there is so much background noise that it is impossible to hear what the representative are saying. The quality of the customer care representatives is also not great and it felt like they are under pressure. The call also got cut and I had to try multiple times to get a response. I realized that the customer care guys are genuine but the entire system was so horrible that it was out of their control. They however took my complain, gave me their personal number and told to check back in a day or 2.
Next day I again called the saleswoman and she said she will enroll me into a batch just the next week. However, I later realized from the customer care that the batch I enrolled for was full and there was no batch until the one I was moved to about a month later. I then realized that the saleswoman was lying to be all the way and when I called and asked she put down the phone and stopped picking.
Also in this time, I wrote several emails but never received a single reply.
I then asked to get my money refunded but they told they cannot because I had taken the EMI option although nothing in the policy suggested that.
Anyways when the time came for my next batch I logged in and realized that there were a couple of students but NO instructor. We waited for an hour and left.
My batch again got changed to a couple of weeks later although I was in no mood of complaining and I was getting ready to lodge a case in consumer court.
2 weeks later I just logged in and found there was an instructor and few students. So I started the course. The instructor was nice co operative with some experience and seemed knowledgeable. Through the class, I also realized that each of the five students in the class had gone through a similar experience.
I took the course for the next four-five weeks. The overall course quality was also very average. Although the instructor was knowledgeable, there was no structure. The course material was just a bunch of theory and the instructor was actually teaching out of her own knowledge and experience.
For someone who was an absolute beginner, the course content would have been decent but for anyone with basic understanding like myself, I did not feel that I actually learnt a lot except for a few concepts.
Although the instructor was very supportive the management had restricted her from sharing her contacts, from doing out of schedule classes or live classes and all such request were denied.
On the brochures they had promised, CV writing, job assistance etc but class itself was ended before going through the entire syllabus.
Thus the entire experience showed that this was very average training with a management whose only intent is to extort money by producing a very good face with a rotten system within.
Sincere advise to anyone is stay miles away from this institute.
I also see very many good reviews on mouth shut and I am very sure these are from their paid employees who are ensuring a good rating.
