Babu bahiyaa !!!!

If I’d be asked to list the top-notch movies in the comedy genre of Indian cinema, Hera Pheri will top the list. People usually judge the pairing of onscreen stars and it mostly concerns two of the belonging to the opposite genders. I am a great Bollywood buff and have been a great fan of two pairs, namely 1. Akshay Kumar and Suneil Shetty and 2. Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. This combination has always entertained the Indian audience with their deadly performance, whether it was an action or comedy movie.

I think after Mohra that starred all the three(Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal) and was a blockbuster at its time, this jodi left us crying with tears and stomachs hurting because of the non-stop laughter in Hera Pheri. Hera Pheri is a big hit movie, and can be watched innumerable number of times. I am not quite sure the movie would have been so candid had it been any other actors instead of these three. If you think about it, you’d notice that there is nothing special in the script of the movie, and the chain of similar incidents demonstrated take place in at least one hut of the poor people.

Paresh Rawal has just nailed it with his epic performance, where he plays the role of an old guy Baaburao Ganpatrao Aapte. He  is the poor landlord of his house and has two Paying Guests, namely Shyam(Sunil Shetty) and Raju(Akshay Kumar). Where Baburao is wants to pay off the loans of the grocers, Shyam is struggling to get a seat in the government job after so that he can pay off the money he’s borrowed from Khadak Singh(Om Puri), while Raju wants to give a good standard of living to his mother but fails to do so because he’s unemployed.

The twist in the story is just because of the interchanged numbers printed in the telephone dictionary for Star Garage(that belongs to Baburao) and Star Fisheries(that belong to the rich Khulbushan Karbanda). A ransom call is redirected to Star Garage instead of Star Fisheries, and then how the trio conspire to fetch the money from the Star Fisheries owner just to make some money and solve their monetary problems. A fantastic movie and I wish I could rate it 5 out of 5.
