Just watched the movie and found that its been hyped a bit too much as it did fail to live to my expectation of a classic and nerve recking horror movie. The trailer portrayed a different picture than what I actually saw in the movie, so kind of upset.
Although the movie has trief in bits and pieces to draw the attention of its audience but the entire story cannot be credited for it.
The movie revolves around Annie who is a small artist and her creations create kind of scary upheaval in her life. She knows little about her mothers dark secrets which seems to haunt her. The backdrop of the movie is in the early 1960s or probably 70s which helps in creating the perfect horror ambience.
The cinematography is good and so is the music which is scary enough for the audience.Guess thats why it has managed to get 90% in rotten tomatoes and a 8.6, rating.
This cannot be used as a justification for all the fans who were promised something different as it is not something new that we were watching. Plot seemed a bit stale and being slow paced in the first half spoiled the appetite to watch the entire movie. Although the movie geared up in the second half but the horror impacts were very abrupt so we could hardly enjoy being panicked.
A big let down there. Overall will not recommended to watch more than once as it is not a thriller horror movie to enjoy. Not a paisa vasul movie and horror movie fans are sure to get disappointed.
