New Achiever with Alloy Wheel

My Review here will be between the trio Achiever, Unicorn and Pulsar DTS- i

(Most of the data has been taken up from the various sites pertaining to the bikes enthusiasts)

This review is based on the various site visits / customers feedbacks collected and in person visits to showrooms to get the the bike’s promising features being challenged with the rivals in the market. Actually I have decided to go for a bike from 150 CC Segment. I was waiting for alloy version of achiever having seen the Passion’s.(Too late to come out with this feature into market)

There is already a big competition in this league (150 cc)… and certainly pulsar rules the road ahead… followed by Unicorn. All three new-generation 150s deliver more than ample mileage for their kind. But the Hero Honda Achiever is little ahead when it comes to delivering more mileage. All three bikes come with different riding postures. The Achiever and Unicorn share upright postures and taller handlebars, while the Pulsar 150 DTS-i has lower ’bars and places riders in a more weight-forward stance.

The BIKE looked to be good enough for some one of Moderate Choice. The Engine is quite par compared to Unicorn (13.4 Bhp). The cost on road in Bangalore is 63, 394/- including Self Starter and DISC Brakes(As on august 2007) - and Xtreme is priced a little higher around 66000/-

To me Achiever should turn out be a Silent Achiever infact. I read couple of Reviews on various sites and made up my mind having convinced that this bike can give 50+ in Bangalore conditions. (Not sure as yet). Well there were not enough stock to see the various Color combinations...the RED one looked to be lot better with graphics...

Though UNICORN is far better, but really find it prone to SKID at turnings... And The Petrol tank is too annoying and the pillion rider’s positioning is too bent on (Something awkward for Ladies).

One thing is for sure, these people (Hero Honda) are not projecting the product in the way the Pulsar and Unicorn have been done all these days and the consequence is quite evident; too less bikes on road! Added to this you find representatives at the showroom too blunt to explain you the host of features that hero Honda is giving when compared it to the rivals. Rather I would say these people (Representatives) leave it all up to customers to do the homework and come blind folded to pick up from the pool of Hero Honda segment and ironically the customer gets to see too less bikes all through the way and result, he is lured with what is most visible on the road.

Are you guys appointed to do so?

Hero Honda - its time to wake up and do something, you have been placed on the pinnacle of customer’s satisfactory standards and its not just the time to retain the same but to take it miles ahead in coming days/years. There is already a threat poised at you.

Finally looking at the features that are bundled for the cost of the bike, Achiever certainly can be recommended and I am sure the Hero Honda needs to do something (Crazy Ad Shad...) to promote this bike.
