Bought this bike 6 months back. Speedo reading - 6500Kms
The criteria to buy ambition was the famous combi of ’PowerFuel’ character. After 6500Kms, here is my feedback from my own riding experience.
Looks of this bike is good, hey am not saying great, it’s just different. Actually it takes some time to get used to it. Large clear lens headlamp, spreads the light evenly, really a good one. Seating is not aggressive, but very much ergonomic, full points on this. The bigger seat is really useful sometimes when I’m carrying, domestic goods (OR my heavy mom!). Proven single down-tube chasis is inspiring.
Now the engine, scaled down CBZ mill. Does it’s job without any fuss. Smooth power delivery. Good pickup, max torque at mid range rpm (4500) gives the feel of acceleration. You can really feel the pick-up in 3rd & 4th gears. Done 100Kmph on the trips (solo), infact done 95+ Kmph with a pillion (after 95 had no guts to look at speedo!). Cruising at 80Kmph?, u know there is a 5th gear...
Mileage, for normal highway riding at steady 55-60Kmph, gave 70Kmpl. On day-to-day city commuting, gives 52-60Kmpl. And when on a trip and ripping the road, when wanted to overtake anything & everything infront of me......52Kmpl!
Quality, I love this aspect of HH bikes, no hassles. Build quality is top-notch. For the engine only regular servicing, that’s it.
It indeed is a PowerFuelReliable bike. In short it does what it is supposed to do.
If you are a kind of a guy who needs to save on petrol during the week, and have plans for long high-speed trips/rides during the weekends, then this bike is for you.
If you are a ultimate speed-freak and only power can satisfy you, then this bike is not for you.
