Its been about 4.5 years already since I bought my Ambition. While selecting the bike, I was looking for riding comfort, reliability and moderate in power. Pulsar 150 was the only other choice in my radar, but during that time they still had the design flaw(which they rectified eventually). Ambition 135 met all my requirements and I went for it. I chose the kick-start version with drum brakes since I thought(during that time) the extra price for those are not worth it.
I am happy owning the bike, and it has been largely trouble free.
I love the ease of starting the bike. It starts pretty easily even if the engine is cold or is started after a long time. There is virtually no engine noise in idling. The pickup is good and not jittery. 5 gears enables a smooth ride. The rear seat is very comfortable. The max speed I could ride was 90 kmph without any vibrations which is really good for a 135cc bike.
Another thing is simply love is the Hero Honda service. They are very friendly and punctual and also have very very convinient timings.
All said, there are a few negative one needs to consider. Ambition knocks, that too big time. Somehow rain water manages to get inside the tank, dont know how. Every year I have to drain the tank since a lot of water gets into the tank and then to the carburettor. Note: the bike is not driven in rain for long nor does it remains outside for a long time. I wonder how so much water is able to get into the tank . design flaw? not sure. Looks are another minus, but now they have changed the headlight design.
All in all, its a good bike to own and ride. Happy riding .
