Sad ... very sad ...

What is going on with Hero Honda? India’s largest selling two wheeler company is unable to move beyond Splendor and Passion. BOth successful, but dated.. so I was looking forward to this big daddy of motorcycles launching a 133cc bike... but ’’Ambition’’ now that it has arrived .. frankly leaves a lot to be desired.. lets begin with the styling of the bike... the bike body, fuel tank etc are nothing extraordinary - very conventional; and the fairing thing, that they are calling ’’royal crest styling’’ is frankly plain atrocious. In terms of styling, it comes nowhere close to Kinetic GF or Bajaj Pulsar or even Hero Honda’s own CBZ. I think its as bad looking if not worse than the Fiero... as for the features, for the price the bike is priced at, they are lacking. The GF comes with electric start and disc brakes at a price that the ambition charges for kick start... the performance of the bike is all right... decent pickup, accleration, etc.. but nothing earth shattering ... mileage the company claims is 75 kmpl.. I only took a test ride so cannot comment on that.

But clearly there are far superior bikes available in the market - Kinetic GF, Bajaj Pulsar all priced similar to the Ambition... after the Joy, Dawn and CBZ this is the new dud from hero honda!
