Purchased HH cbz -xtreme on 4-8-2011 by x-changing splendor 2000, mainly to get better speed.Main journey now that I am retired is to go to Bangalore once in a month. A journey of 565 km. one way which used to take about 13 hours on splendor, as it would not go more than 80 km/hr.and I used it more than 30 times so it is bit too old also.so opted for cbz which can go 110km/hr.
On road price from MS&S Ernakulam .was 76k, with helmet, cover for seat, grip, bike. 5 years guarantee .Teflon coating, hand holder.etc.
Riding experience- Being the first 5 gear bike to use, took some time to adjust. I am 5;4’ so seat seems to be little high, than splendor.Can’t drive in upright position. so doing a 100km gave good pain in the back.
Being in running in time. keeping 40 to 50 km speed and less than 4k rpm. But very happy to tell Iam getting about 60 km/ltr.or even more.till today odo is 150 km.
Lighting - Yesterday I took it out at night to check the lighting .the result is very good.with the stock 35/35 halogen on local roads. the reflector seems to be very good. Can think about a HID 35 w /4500 k or 6000k .in future. alternator is capable for it.about 140 watts.
Engine- Smooth as ever with HH . seems, has some juice in it but not tried any thing .
Gear shift- average, it is little hard now 4th to 5th change gives false neutral .some times. when returning from 5th, getting neutral is difficult. for stopping. Clutch was little loose so tightened a bit .so now becoming better .
when new, starting idle RPM was 1500 but you run 5 km idle RPM increases to 3000+ . So adjusted the knob on the carb(anti clock wise).while hot and brought to 1500 so now cold idle RPM is only 1000+
but no problem for starting in the mornings.
