Here I am posted my 28, 000 Kms review for your consideration after a long haul.
My three year old partner CBZ X did a very fine job as a semi cruiser, city commuter and friend in need.
Forget to mention that I always used to cruising all around south tamilnadu’s temples, Roughly 20, 000 out of 28, 500 Kms rides are in the highways.
With that experience now I am become a intermediate rider to ride hard all over the day & night along with my CBZ X alone.
This bike is awesome and give you all that you need. Just take a glance below.
Engine:
The engine borrowed from Honda Unicorn is very smooth and powerful even after 28, 000Kms.(I Used to change Idemitsu 1.2 Ltrs Oil every 3, 000 Kms with 150 ml of Nulon additive for better performance)
Gearbox:
Hero Honda people need to refine this part because its vibrations are little above normal and gear shifts are little hard.
Brakes:
Excellent breaks. Disc front and Drum rear is still a great combination.( I put 3.00 x 18 Michelin M45 tyres at front for better disc Braking & Cornering and Hero Honda splendor’s front wheel drum twin lead brake shoes are fitted at my bike’s rear drum brakes for better braking)(Actual fitment of rear brake shoes are little harder hence softer front brake shoes at rear will help better braking)
Cornering:
This bike is little bit taller than any other bikes, so too much of leaning is not recommended,
Hence plan your lanes before approaching any corners and hit it with some confidence the rest will be assured by the bike and it will take you out of the corner nicely than you imagine.(I used Ceat 100/90 x 18 rear tyre)
Riding:
Front Telescopic suspension is great and can swallow a one feet speed breaker or a path cracks silently. Rear coil springs are little bit hard but give great control over high way cuts, leans, panic braking, speed breaker dashing and path crack falling.(Overall all riding comfort is good with sharp controls)
Maintenance:
I cannot say this bike is totally maintenance free it’s depends upon the riding habit and the type of the road you ride, but not to forget the overall reliability is very good and I never faced even a puncture tyre in any highway zone. Even though still you need to take care of your bike and spent some money to make this machine in mint condition.
I replaced Battery, Chain Sprocket Assembly, Clutch Cable, Spark Plug and Air Filter element for my satisfactory condition and also replaced some front and rear tyres to get a perfect blend of combination. With that i’ ve succeed and get a good response from the bike.
Now my bike returns a mileage of 42 KMPL in city and 47 KMPL in Highway.(55 KPH Cruising)
I also replaced the head light lamp and with the 6000k Philips xenon kit for better visibility at night, after this modification I felt my eyes were powered by night vision it performs great even in the pitch black night condition. man.! the xenon and CBZ X head light unit is fantastic, that will ensure your safety at night.
Conclusion:
I strongly recommend this bike only for those peoples who love riding and biking very much and want s to break their barrier by munching miles in the highway and attain scholars with that.
This Thing is Really a mean machine.
