Hi dear reader,
In the review Ill putfort my one year experience with my CBZX before you,
-I bought this bike on Aug 13 07
-My bike colour is sporty red
-Got the bike on the promised the date;-)
I previously owned a super splendor, I really never had any bitter experience with it, I had wonderful time with the bike, the only reason I decided to change the bike was I felt ss is slightly underpowered.
I wanted a bike which has the best combination of mileage and power, I was not very much intrested in mileage unless it is>40 . I did a bit research for nearly 4 months reading reviews and speaking to those people who had good knowledge about bikes and who were not prejudiced by the sales figures and ads. After four months my choices narrowed down to P-150/180 and CBZ X.
3 simple reasons made me go for CBZ X
1.Brand name Hero Honda(CBZ), you can put a lot of trust into the name, as still you can see splendor selling like hot cakes, at least in my city.
2.During my four months, I found that the overall make quailty of CBZ was better the P and bajaj had comprised on this issue for its price.
3.More complaints from the P riders than the CBZ riders i.e malfunctioning of digital console and tail lamps.
What makes me a proud CBZ owner?
1.Satisfaction of having spent 60+K on a bike that is worth the price.
2.Good riding comfort and long knee recess really helps a lot for tall riders.
3.Protection against damage to the inicatiors as they integrated into the body.
4.Rear looks are excellent with split tail grab, one can call this bike a callipygian.
5.Smooth riding quality, you can feel it the moment you turn on the engine and hear its sound.
6.A healthy power-weight ratio .
7**.Good road grip even at high speeds** and very effective front disc brakes.
What the bike lacks?
1.sporty front looks
2.reduced sharpness in the rear brakes.
3.pillon rider comfort especially over long distances.
**Miscellaneous**
-Top speed Ive achived is 110-115 with the pillon rider
-Longest distance covered in shortest time -123km in under 95 minutes(mileage 33-36) with pillon.
-Mileage Speed
54-56 50-60
44-48 70-85
34-38 95+(depends on how long you ride this range)*
Major problem faced till now
A strange sound similar to the one heard when two metal pieces are rubbed against each other when riding above 85, I guess its from the front disc brakes, but there is no reduction in their effectiveness.Hoping to getting it solved in the next service.
After reading the review I hope the reader will be able to decide for himself whether the bike suits his needs or not .
Thank you for reading.
