Know Hero CD-Deluxe self-start

I always wanted to buy passion plus. When I made a decision to purchase it, to my surprise it was no more available anywhere. I asked the showroom guy. He said ‘its production/supply has stopped 2 months ago, Passion Pro’ is available’. I dint go for Passion pro as I heard mechanics and owners abusing the bike- Very bad bike seems to be.

After researching for a month for bike with quality and reliability on MouthShut_ Official.com, I’ve selected 3 bikes to choose 1 among these. The bikes are: Honda Unicorn, Splendor and CD-Deluxe.

I rejected unicorn because:

It has a step kind of seat( I heard, feel and agree that only a driver on unicorn feels good while riding, pillion suffer a lot- All bikes with Step seats good for rider not pillion) .

We cannot carry 2 bags each side if we go shopping with someone due to its extra-large silencer/muffler.

I rejected splendor because: 1. It is a very basic bike. 2. No power start.

Finally, I’ve chosen and purchased ‘CD-Deluxe self-start+ alloy/matt wheel’ in March 2012, because of the following reasons: 1. It is good to old people or parent sitting behind driver as it has a straight seat not a step-like seat.( I heard, feel and agree that, all bikes with Step seats good for rider not pillion) . 2. We can carry bags on both sides of this bike. 3. Self-start feature. 4. I was told mileage will be good.

Now about the mileage of ‘Hero CD-Deluxe self-start+ alloy/matt wheel’( Manufactured feb 2012):

In beginning, before first servicing it gave unexpected great mileage of 65 KMPL on highway at 40 KMPH speed. In city roads I was getting 60 KMPL. After first servicing, I’m upset with this bike, it is only giving 50 KMPL( both on highway and in city) . I went and spoke to mechanics in Hero showrooms, they and other roadside mechanics say that mileage will be good after 3rd or 4th serving.

But my point is, we expect the mileage to increase after first servicing. In my case it went down after first servicing. Please tell me if you had this problem where your bike has given you less mileage after first servicing. I think these showroom mechanics changed any part of the carburettor while servicing the bike. I asked the showroom mechanics and even the manager if they had changed any part of the carburettor while servicing, they said ‘No, we do not do such things’.

UPDATE Jan 1, 2016:

I’m very happy to let  you know that after 4th servicing it gave me mileage of 75 km per litre(Single ride+ Speed of 40-50 km+ Long road with very less signals and speed breakers+ 3rd and 4th gear most of the time)

Thank you.
