Yes thats what this bike means to me....Pretty much comfortable to ride and ofcourse durable (its been 7 years riding this bike now).
I started riding this bike at the age of 16..Its already run more than 25000 Kms and till date I never had a problem with it..And guess what, my driving is too rash..The only expense on this bike is on the fuel (yes fill it shut it and forget it..I guess thats what was the punch line for its launch)and the engine oil change once every 2000-2500 kms. The battery has got week and thats a agreeable thing for a bike 7 years old..(I kept the bike idle for some 4 months, , , may be thats the cause)
The good things of CD-100:
Driving comfort: good, , shall I say excellent
expenses and maintainance: NIL (Almost)
Durable: I can bet atleast 7 years warranty
Starting: Always on the first kick
Mileage: 65 worst condition...have even got 70 kmpl at times
and now the few bad ones:
Shocks: gives u shocks at times
Gear changing: Some problem when shifting back from top to lower esply 2 to 1 and 1st to neutral. ( I guess its only with my bike)
I have been on long rides when I have driven it for some 250 kms in a day with a pillion rider---absolutely no problem..
Agree its not a bike for the college go-ers..and superbike fans...But its decent looks, 7.5 bhp engine and top speed of 70-75 kmph are enough for anyone driving on Indian roads.
