This is an awesome bike in terms of ride quality, comfort and long journeys. The only issue with this bike is its pricing. It is the highest price for a 150cc. 83K for rear disks and 80K without rear disks on the road in MUMBAI.
I booked my bike yesterday without rear disks and only in view of a friend or two’s suggestion that maintenance on rear disk will cost you very high almost Rs 1000 in every 3-4 months on the disks itself. the line wire and break pads and brake fluid costs. And entire disk replacement would cost around Rs 6000,
So pls let me know whether I was correct in booking the drum brake version. I compromised on safety and looks by excluding the rear disks.
Anyways, about the bike, it looks really huge when u sit, only one that appealed to me more was YAMAHA FZS, but I felt for the first time while in my life while test rides that the saying is true, ITS NOT THE RIDER WHO CHOOSES HIS/HER RIDE, BUT ITS THE RIDE WHO CHOOSES IT’S RIDER." I felt a instant connection wit this bike, and believe me I have ridden various bikes but never felt this way.
I can’t comment about the fuel economy just yet but having experienced the older hunk I can say I wont be disappointing.
All in all its a great bike to own, something rare in Mumbai I m sure. You will see every second bike in Mumbai is Unicorn, that is a smooth bike and a safe bet if u want to play safe. But to go on a totally different level and to be in the league of your own is what this bike’s USP is.
