Hey guys . The hero Honda Karizma is waste of a bike because of the following reasons - firstly the on road price in Pune is Rs 79, 679/- which is rather high for a youngster.
Secondly</ I> the rear tyre of the bike is very thin. It is even thinner than the rear tyre of the CBZ. The company could have used a Michelin tyre on the rear considering the amount you are charging the customer.
Thirdly the bike does not have guard rails (leg guards) thus giving no protection to the rider as well as the bike.
Fourthly since there are no guard rails if the bike falls the fairing of the bike will either crack or break, the cost of which is Rs 10, 000/- .
Fifthly the digital console in front of the rider (i.e. the speedometer etc.) is not supposed to be washed because even a drop of water which falls on the console will spoil the digital equipment for which the entire fairing will have to be changed as the console is mounted behind the headlight on the inner half of the fairing, which is again Rs 10, 000/-
Sixthly the headlight is fixed on the fairing which minimizes the visibility while turning at night since the headlight does not turn.
Seventhly the company should have made the bike with a minimum displacement of 250 cc which will keep the bike in the international section according to power.
Eighthly the bike gives an average of less than 20 K.M per litre.
Ninthly I am giving a comparative table between the hero Honda karizma and the bajaj pulsar 180 dtsi (below)
Particulars Karizma / Pulsar 180 dtsi
Displacement 223 cc / 178.6 cc
Top speed 125.6 km/hr / 128.9 km/hr
Fuel efficiency 20 km/litre (approx) / 45 km/litre (approx)
On road price (pune) 79, 679/- / 61, 272/-
Its up to you to decide from the table which bike is better. Even though the karizma looks good it costs quite a packet. And the repairs also cost alot.
Thank you,
Ride safely!
