I bought this perf bike , when it was really the best perf bike available in the country, in the year 2006.
This was one Helluva bike for Indian Bike scene. With 17 Ps and 223 CC engine it was simply a draw.
My used bikes till date have been,
Fathers Bullet 350 till 1996
Yamaha RX 100 :1996-2002
CBZ : 2002-2004
Pulsar 150 : 2004-2006
Karizma : 2006 -2008
Pulsar 220 : 2008- Till date
Pros:
The bike is really good looking from front, though was never impressed the way it looks from back.
The Engine is smooth and powerful, have done upto 130 kmph on this bike.
The handling is superb and good on highways as well as in city conditions
The bike has realiability as its one of the main virtues and dont give lots of troubles.
Cons:
The looks never impress form back side
The rear tyres should have been broader as in Thunderbird, P220 or avenger because they provide more stability at speeds more than 100.
Plastic parts are delicate and expensive
Spare parts are pretty expensive and are not easily available.
No leg guard. This is one big mistake on the part of HH, because indian roads and frequent traffic rule violation by fellow riders make it accident prone.
Mileage (Uffffffffffff!).
It has always been infamous for drinking oil.I like to drive little aggressively, hence could manage 24-32 kmpl only. This was one of the reasons for finally changing it for another powerful beast.
Headlights and Horns are not good at all.Pulsars, Avengers, Thunderbirds beat it easily on this front.
Seat is little on tougher side, can make your bum sore, on a drive more than 1 -2 hr.Needs to pad it up.
The pillion seat is not comfortable for ladies wearing indian dresses.
In short , A sure shot perf bike for them who dont care for fuel efficiency and would not take anything but HH.
