I ride a machismo a350, and the other day I got a chance to take a good look at the Karizma. I will only mention the design flaws that I think HH could have gotten rid of:
1) This, like the LML Adreno, has a half fairing, which looks clownish for such a little bike.
2) The tyres are too spindly, and something like the Eliminator tyre for the rear wheel would have looked a lot better.
3) The mag wheels look very weak. Three fat spokes would have made the wheels look meatier.
But I guess like ppl go for Eliminator rear tyres for their Pulsars and CBZs, even Karizma riders will do the same in no time. So, Bajaj, even if they cannot sell the Eliminator, should keep manufacturing rear wheels (gosh, that has spokes too) of the Eliminator :-)
The power/performance of the Karizma must be good (from what I hear). The colors are great. At least this initiative by HH will make the other players sit up and take notice, and maybe come out with bigger bikes . . .
For the time being, buy the Karizma, remove the clownish fairing, get an Eliminator rear tyre, change the wheels for fatter spoked wheels, and you have the poor man’s Buell . . . good enough to pick up some chiffon-clad, heavily painted (party) animals . . .
