Hero Honda Karizma ZMR

After riding my HERO HONDA KARIZMA ZMR(black) for around 4000 kms I am writing this. Hope this would be useful for others

1. About the engine: The engine is superb! The driving is silky smooth even above 100 kmph speed. Pickup is excellent. I feel that the bike will be waiting for the driver to give acceleration! Because of the PGMFi engine, no choke is provided and is not required also! My vehicle starts even at ice cold temperature also. Very nice of this. The headache of "mains" and "reserve" knob is not present in this bike and hence it is difficult(or not possible) for those who steal petrol by bypassing the petrol knobs of other bikes.

   
   




2. About the meters: The best meter that I had even seen in my life: DIGITAL CLOCK, RPM INDICATOR, NORMAL DISTANCE METER, TRIP METERS A & B(TWO TRIP METERS), MILEAGE METER, FUEL TANK INDICATOR, PERSONALIZED MESSAGE(OF NOT ANY USE AFTER FEW DAYS), BEAUTIFUL BLUE LIGHT ILLUMINATION, BIG SPEED DIGITS SPEEDOMETER, The best meter really.

   
   




3. About the stability: I touched 115 kmph without any difficulty. Till now that was the maximum speed that I could touch. I am not saying this is the maximum that one can touch. But even at this speed the bike has got excellent stability.

   
   




4. About brakes: As both front and back disc brakes are provided, excellent braking system is provided in the bike.

   
   




5. About mileage: I am getting an average mileage of 45 kmpl if I drive at around 60 kmph.

   
   




6. About the tyres: Many a time I felt that the back tyre should have been more broader(by looking at other bikes of the type). But the company says that narrow tyres provide good comfort and handling! Don’t know about this. Both front and back tyres are tubeless and hence can go for long drives without the fear of getting punctured.

   
   




7. About the headlights: The 35W with big dome and multiple reflector provides a good brightness during night drive. Very importantly: the headlight is DC and hence no problem of decrease in intensity at lower speed. But sometimes when compared with other bikes specifications and see that they have 55W, I felt it should have been 55W for ZMR instead of 35W.

   
   




8. Seating comfort: Probably this is the only negative that I felt(This might not be there for others!). I feel the pain in my right inner thighs for a journey of 15 kms itself. So I keep on shifting the sitting position.

   
   




9. About the fuel tank: Such a big fuel tank of around 14.5 liters. So with an average mileage of 45 kmpl one can think of going 650 kms after a full tank petrol!

   
   




10. Tail lamps: Very attractive and bright(particularly the braking lights) also. Very good
