The karizma hungama started when I was an under graduate. Seeing Hrithik racing on it followed by a helicopter. Thought it was over rated. Then came the ZMA R and again an ad with Hrithik where the bike is covered with mud. I would never let that happen if it was mine. I was never able to afford the Karizma. I met with an accident and tore a Ligament in the knee and thought I will never ride a bike like ZMR. When the ZMR was launched I wished I could get one. It all happened one day after my sister got married.
I was sitting and reading reviews on the internet, out the blue mom came asked what is the latest bike in the market. Booked by ZMR in December 09 and got the bike delivered on 25/01/10 after making the full payment. There were not many ZMRs in Vizag at that time. I enjoyed my first ride home. I mostly ride at mid-night. I am not a big fan of high speed riding. I tested the mileage for the first six months. I was not just happy with 48 KMPL but feeling "Above All". To get the jealous look on the other people riding their bikes whenever they stop around it great. People coming with a request to get a photo clicked alongside the bike is nice feeling.
The best thing about the bike is that you can go on a long ride on it without a second thought. The comfort and handling are great even when you ride for an hour or two without a break. I really loved the average mileage indicator, just having a glance at it once in a while. Its been more than 10 months I have been riding the bike. I rode 15, 300kms on it and completed all the free servicing and already had 2 paid servicings done. The reason I am writing this review is because my bike is currently in the showroom waiting for new alloy wheels. I hit a big pot hole right in the middle of the NH-5. Both the alloy wheels cracked and have to be replaced. I wish the replacements will come soon.
