Hi this is venu.I have gone thru your review about the bike. As a bike addict I am so much concern about the maintenance .Me to posses the same passion plus. As per my experience, filling normal petrol doesn’t show any difference. I tried my vehicle with both the petrols but feel the same experience and mileage.
Normally people have a belief that engine will be smooth and good mileage by filling tank with speed or extra premium petrol. But this concept is not true. Even you get that in proper maintenance of the vehicle. By putting branded engine oil, doing regular service basing on km, maintaining proper petrol levels(not leaving the tank to dry and later filling fully).Here I like to tell one thing. Maintaining proper petrol’s levels yields in good mileage since there will be a steady flow of petrol above the reserve level. Smooth braking also yields in gaining good mileage.
As you are getting good mileage it doesn’t matter wat petrol u keep. Go with Regular service, don’t wait till your Speedo hits 500, 1000 and 20000. Once u feel that your ride is not smooth and comfortable get it serviced.
Normally we have gear complaints in bajaj and even in some models of Hero Honda models but not in passion. Better to check that with your service engineer for proper gear box fitting.
Coming to your slow speed, ask your service engineer to tune up lightly .Some times this impacts on mileage too. Since every time you start your vehicle when it is switched off, it consumes more fuel than vehicle in ideal time. So check for the mileage after tuning the engine.
