Just simply for its sporty and jazzy looks, hero motocorp should not charge premium of Rs 7, 000/- over other bikes in the same segment(cc). Moreover, the prices quoted in the companys website is at least Rs 3, 000 less than what dealers quote.
On 3rd February, I inquired about the prices at Mahim, Mumbai dealer. I was told that bike is not available with disc break(front wheel) and quoted prices at Rs 58, 500/-. Moreover, on top of it, they pressured to take a Rs 2, 100 package extra which will provide leg-guard, handle grip, seat cover etc.
So, including this Rs 2, 100/- the on road price of Passion Pro crosses Rs 60, 000/- mark. And this is far higher for a bike with 97 cc capacity.
The company should make sure that the Passion Pros on road price does not exceed a maximum of Rs 55, 000/-
And, yes, I agree with the previous writer that this product should be upgraded to 125 cc and keep the same price as today. That will really bring the product close to what it is worth.
In its current form, Passion Pro overall is good but pricing is an issue. On the front of mileage, it normally gives 55-60 km/litre. So, please dont get excited by the thought that it will give 70 km/litre.
Happy riding!
